Emmy® Winning animation director

Creator of Letter Beasties children's brand. 

Author-illustrator, songwriter, guitarist, bassist, all-purpose creative hombre.

CAREER BIO

Currently Ron is a storyboard artist PBS Kids show "Space Racers" having just finished boarding at Bento Box on Comedy Central's "Legends of Chamberlain Heights."  He's also the creator of "Letter Beasties" Children's Brand and owner of Nobletown Studios Animation.

 

Ron's career highlights include directing Nickelodeon’s “Rugrats”, “All Grown Up,” “The Wild Thornberrys,” “Rocket Power” “As Told By Ginger,” and winning the “Outstanding Children’s Animation Program Emmy Award® as a director on “Rugrats.”

Raised in Rockville, Md., Ron Noble began animating with the Capital Children’s Museum Animation Corps Workshop in Washington D.C. when he was 16 years old. He then attended Syracuse University where he drew an award-winning daily comic strip for the S.U. paper for four years and graduated with a Bachelor’s degree in TV/Radio/Film Production.

 

After college Ron single-handedly created, wrote and animated the comedy short film “Living With Ridalyn” which was later picked up by Atom Films and aired on Showtime, Blockbuster and even Cathay Pacific airlines. He then worked as character animator for Microsoft and Edmark in Seattle, while also freelancing as a Timing Director on dozens of TV shows. Ron then moved to Los Angeles in 1998 becoming a storyboard artist at Klasky Csupo Studios. Nine months later he was promoted to animation director. For the next seven years Ron directed many award winning Nickelodeon animated TV series and feature videos.

 

Ron Noble left Klasky Csupo in 2005, and began storyboarding on Cartoon Network’s “Moral Orel” by day while directing and animating his indie animated short “MORT - Hope Springs Eternal” by night. The dark comedy short was released in 2008 and was accepted to 42 intl. film festivals and Winner of Best Animation at 10 of those festivals. Ron then started Nobletown Studios and created animated sequences for the Award-Winning “Mythic Journeys” a story/documentary starring Mark Hamill and Tim Curry. He's also storyboard artist on feature film trailers through Toy Box Entertainment including the films Smurfs 2, Hotel Transylvania, Epic and Mr Peabody and Sherman and Sex Tape.

 

Through Nobletown Studios Ron has directed and animated dozens of pilots and explainer videos and commercials, as well as illustrating eight children’s books including Letter Beasties--Ron's first children's book as author and illustrator.
